Jim Starlin

Starlin's cosmic creations brought the space opera genre to comics. His highly imaginative and very detailed spacescapes fascinated audiences as it explored far away worlds while keeping the core a hero with very human virtues. Starlin's photographic background was influential in the very clean and precise control of action, anatomy, and facial expressions. Along with photographic images of space and the stars as reference, Starlin explored the universe and our place in it.
