Jack Kirby and Mike Royer - Unused Superman Comic Game Puzzle Illustration Original Art (Mattel, 1971). In 1971, Mattel produced three pocket games that featured artwork by Jack "King" Kirby! Kirby supplied the blister card package art for front and back, and created art for five puzzle pieces for this Superman themed game. Only four were used, this being the unused selection. As with the Superman appearances in Kirby's Fourth World saga, DC had Murphy Anderson re-draw Superman's face for the printed versions. This is a great looking work, produced in ink on Bristol board with an image area of 8.5" x 11.75". Moderately toned, has pinholes, edge and corner wear, paper lifts, cellophane tape, and scuffing.
