Repped Artists

Vaughn Bode

Vaughn Bode remains to this day an influential figure in American pop art. His unmistakably subversive designs in drawing and lettering became one of the enduring underground art styles to come out of the counterculture revolution of the 60's. Since that time, many graffiti artists have "decorated" their piece of the concrete jungle using Bode's style. Possibly as a sign of protest in the beginning, but then surviving on its own as an aesthetic that became a prevalent presence in the inner cities of America.
