Linsner's bad girl pin up artwork is more than the sum of its scrumptious parts. Even in the earliest Dawn comics, you can see that Joe Linsner imbues a personality and character to the most beautifully drawn women. The look in the eyes, the quiver of the lips, the tilt of the head, and the curvature of the female body were not there to just titilate the audience. Linsner carefully played up the beauty of the individual character and did not use the same body type for every female in the story. The uses of light and colors give the alluring form a weight and a dimension that you don't often find from today's pin up artists.
