Bernie Krigstien was a major force in shaping the way a comic page would tell a story. The panelwork controlled movement, time, and space of the story to set up pacing and flow. Krigstein's solid draftsmanship and illustrative sensibilities also contributed to raising the level of artistry of the comic page. Krigstein's career spanned the Golden Age and thus very few examples of his original art exist.
