Bill Everett

Bill Everett's contribution to the comics included the creation of the first Marvel Super-Hero: Sub-Mariner for Marvel Comics #1 back in 1939. His artwork had intricate curves and details that gave the drawing a fine luster. Even at the end of his career in the Silver Age for Daredevil and Spider-Man, his consistently lavish details set Everett's works apart from his contemporaries. It not only told a story, nor was it mere exposition of action, but Everett could take any piece (whether his own or inking someone else) and complete it into a work of classical beauty.
