Hal Foster enriched the comic art landscape by bringing an unsurpassed level of excellence to the Adventure Strip artform. Foster's dedication to his work is legendary. His high quality illustrations came about from extensive research and many labor intensive hours that brought a nobility and class to Sunday strips which remain unrivaled. From the late 1920's to the early 70's, each exhaustively detailed strip added to his monumental achievement of quality and longevity in the field. Very few pieces of his originals survive as many were discarded at the time of publication. Some examples exist as they were cut up into panels. Complete and intact Sundays are very rare masterpieces that are cherished by collectors.
