Best known as the creator of Mr. Monster, Michael T. Gilbert brought high quality work to underground and independent comics of the 80's with a 50's sensibility. It combined a menagerie of B-movie monsters, femme fatales, sci-fi, horror, humor, two-fisted action, and artwork with fine attention to detail that does justice to the great many illustrators of the era. While working on other projects, Gilbert continued to bring his creative energies to craft stories that had that same focus in expanding the imagination.
