This painting is the first of its kind: a re-creation of the wrap-around cover to Cerebus #1 fully painted by Dave Sim, who says: "...the first traced-from-photocopies 97% faithful copy I've ever done (so far) because a) it allowed me to alternate between 'dead-hand' zero-wrist-stress flames and moderate-to-high stress inking and b) I never have gotten to do a piece where 'anything goes.'" Presented in ink and Gouache on Bristol board with an image area of 18" x 13". Masthead, logo, and text are paste-up, worked into the painting. Signed and dated by Sim in the lower right corner. $5,500.00
