Original drawing of Yearl by Heavy Metal artist Philippe Druillet. Yearl is the neo-martian Lone Sloane's companion, in the comics 'Lone Sloane' collection.
This bust-length portrait of YEARL was done in pen and Indian ink for the illustration portfolio '30 X 30 Druillet', published in 1981. The artwork was signed later (1992) as Druillet was requested by the owner of the artwork.
This art piece is a iconic part of the art production of the Space Architect and more generally of the legendary Metal Hurlant period . Art was done over the backside of a blueprint of album 'Salammbô'. It measures 49,5 x 33 cm. (19.5 x 13 in.)
